Primavera Receives $40,000 from Vantage West Credit Union to Help Support Black Homeownership

Vantage West Credit Union has awarded $40,000 to the Primavera Foundation through the Empowering Black Homeownership Matching Grant Program facilitated by the FHLBank San Francisco.

The Empowering Black Homeownership matching grant program is designed to address historical and systemic barriers that have disproportionately hindered generations of Black households from attaining homeownership.

The program leverages financial institution donations to deliver grants, enhancing the operational capacity of organizations like Primavera.

Vantage West Credit Union Program Manager Jaime Hinojos said organizations like Primavera help increase Black homeownership and bridge the racial wealth gap.

“This program is closely aligned with one of Primavera Foundation’s primary missions: to empower the local community to achieve homeownership,” said Primavera CEO Tisha Tallman.

“This grant, through Vantage West Credit Union, will help us achieve our goals to increase homeownership to and address inequities in homeownership and generational wealth building.”
