Join us for a robust conversation with Primavera co-founder Nancy Bissell! During the conversation, Tisha and Nancy discussed a book that Nancy put out just before the pandemic called The Daily Banquet, which chronicles the legacy of the Primavera Foundation and details what the early years were like as a soup kitchen and men’s shelter, and the journey from those humble beginnings to our expansions and innovations like our mobile outreach team. They also touched on the legal aspects of homelessness and discussed the upcoming Supreme Court case, City of Grants Pass v. Johnson, which will play a large role in determining whether cities will be able to subject their unhoused citizens to endless fines and civil penalties for sleeping outside.
