40th Anniversary Events

Primavera has a number of special events to celebrate our four decades of work in the Tucson community! Events include an art exhibit in September; an October garden walk; a community party in November; and a presentation on Dec. 12 by acclaimed author Matthew Desmond.

Here are details:

"An Evening with Matthew Desmond" Sponsors

We would like to thank the Primavera Foundation Board of Directors for being the presenting sponsor of the important event: “An Evening with Matthew Desmond,” featuring the author of “Evicted” and “Poverty, By America.” Additionally, Primavera thanks Tucson Electric Power for being the bronze-level sponsor.

These gifts mean more families will get emergency housing and learn financial strategies so they can get back on their feet or even own a home. They mean more Primavera participants will receive job skills and gain living-wage work. They mean fewer people in the Tucson area will have to spend the night unhoused or unfed.

Here’s the impact you can have through a gift or sponsorship:

  • Your gift of $1,000 can house a Tucson family of four for an entire month.
  • Your $10,000 sponsorship can give that same family housing and food for over five months.
